I can’t believe we’re already into November.
That means, at this point I’ve survived 5 weeks of graduate school and we’re only a few weeks out from the start of the holidays. OMG, this year is going by so fast.
In the meantime, let’s slow down and take a minute to practice gratitude. I have so much to be grateful for in my life and I’ve found that it’s especially important to pause and reflect during the busiest parts of life because otherwise, we sometimes miss all the good. With that, let’s make a toast to each other, all the awesome things happening right now, and all the amazing things to come.
Whether we’re toasting good things or kicking off the start of the holiday season, these (Sugar-Free) Cranberry Lime Spritzers are da bomb!
These spritzers are my new fave of the season! I set out to create a refreshing cranberry drink, but without all the added sugar and ended up with this delicious mocktail! The base of the drink is a simple homemade cranberry sauce so you get all of the antioxidants and benefits from the cranberries without all the sugar that would be in a typical cranberry juice. Next, we top this with sparkling water, lime wedges, fresh mint leaves, and stevia to taste.
You can definitely omit the stevia or use a different sweetener if desired. I personally love to use the NuNaturals Vanilla Stevia drops to give it a lightly sweet taste without any added sugar. Enjoy!
One of my favorite things about this drink is the fun ombre effect because of the cranberry sauce! I like to add the cranberry sauce first, top it with the sparkling water, and then lightly mix it so that the top is pink, but the bottom stays a dark red. It’s super festive and delicious! You can also muddle the lime and mint with the cranberry sauce for additional flavor if desired.
- ½ cup water
- 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
- 32 ounces sparkling water
- 1 lime, sliced into wedges
- Fresh mint, for garnish
- Vanilla stevia drops, to taste
- Add water to a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Add the cranberries. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, or until cranberries have reduced into a thick syrup.
- Divide the cranberry mixture between four glasses. Top with ice, sparkling water, a lime wedge, and fresh mint. Add stevia drops to taste and mix well. Enjoy!
