Whether you’re shopping for someone who loves beauty products, or you’re trying to green up your beauty routine, you’ll love this holiday gift guide! I’ve included some of my favorites that I personally use and adore and these are sure to please!
Let’s start with the lips!
When I began cleaning up my makeup routine, lipsticks were one of the first things I prioritized since it’s pretty obvious that we end up eating a lot of what goes on our lips!
If you’re looking for a basic lip balm, I’ve been loving these balms by Sky Organics. They feel great and work perfectly under lipstick to add extra moisture.
For lip color, I’m a fan of Mineral Fusion’s line and love their lipsticks and lip glosses. Both are super creamy and moisturizing, and I’ve loved the colors I’ve tried so far (Alluring, pictured above, is my current favorite).
Now, onto nails!
I never used to paint my nails because I was worried about the chemicals in nail polish. However, once I discovered a few brands that are five-free and actually last, I became hooked! Look for brands that have eliminated the use of known carcinogens (formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate, toluene, formaldehyde resin, and camphor).
To remove the nail polish, I really like Mineral Fusion’s nail polish remover because it’s not super drying, doesn’t have a harsh smell (compared to typical nail polish remover), and lasts a really long time.
Let’s talk eyes and face!
Finding a good natural mascara was seriously one of my greatest challenges! Luckily one day on a whim I picked up the Zuzu brand at Whole Foods and finally felt like I had a winner! This mascara actually makes my lashes look longer, doesn’t flake off, and doesn’t irritate my sensitive eyes (especially important since I wear contacts.) Gift this to a friend and I can promise you’ll make her year! 😉
For eye shadow, I’m currently loving this rose gold trio by Mineral Fusion to create a subtle smokey eye. The colors are so soft and pretty and this would work well with any skin tone!
To add a bit of overall color, I would definitely recommend Mineral Fushion’s blush/bronzer duo. The shades are light and natural, which is perfect if you want to add just a bit of color without looking too bronzed! (Note: this bronzer is a bit sparkly so it’s perfect for adding a sun-kissed glow, but I wouldn’t recommend it for contouring.)
How about skin care?
I’ve been using the oil-cleansing method for the past six years and overall my skin care routine is pretty DIY, but one product that I love is Soapwalla’s Restorative Face Serum! This stuff is seriously like magic in a bottle and would make the perfect holiday gift!
Since my skin is pretty dry I use a half dropper of the serum before bed. I love that it absorbs quickly onto the skin and doesn’t leave a greasy residue on my pillow. It also smells heavenly and has done a fantastic job of keeping my skin moist this season – plus, it has definitely helped with some of the fine lines I’ve been noticing on my forehead! 😉
What about DIY beauty gift options?
